Electricity Credit Promotion - Online exclusive offer for new Electricity customers only.

This Electricity Credit Promotion provides you with a $250 credit on your electricity account when you sign up online for electricity on a 12- month fixed-term contract and establish a direct debit payment with us and maintain it for a minimum of 12 months.

Please note that:

• - This promotion is available in conjunction with MEGA Saver Promotion (however, please be aware that by using this promotion you are signing up to a 12 month fixed term for electricity).
• - This promotion is not available in conjunction with the Electricity $150 Welcome Credit Promotion.

That means, if you are a new Megatel electricity customer who signs up online for electricity plus another eligible service (gas, broadband or mobile) and establish a direct debit payment with us and maintain it for a minimum of 12 months, you will receive:

• - a $250 credit on your new electricity account (this promotion); and
• - ongoing discounts on all services while they remain connected with Megatel!(Mega Saver)

1. To be eligible for this promotion:

• a) You must be a new residential Megatel electricity customer, meaning that you must not have an existing electricity account with Megatel, and your property should not have been powered by Megatel electricity for at least the past 6 months.
• b) You must join through our website and use the promo code JOIN250 during the online signup process to redeem the credit.
• c) You must also establish a direct debit payment with us and maintain it for a minimum of 12 months.
• d) You must meet our standard acceptance criteria and sign up for electricity on a 12-month fixed-term contract at your primary residential address.
• e) Your electricity service must be connected at your primary residential address within one month from the date you signed your application. Your primary residential address means the property where you actually live, which is not vacant, not under renovation/construction, and not an investment property or holiday home. If electricity is not connected within one month (for any reason), then this promotion and any supply obligations will automatically cease (and any account credit will be reversed).

2. This promotion comes with a $250 account credit and a 12-month fixed term supply contract. The account credit will be applied to your energy account and will show on your first bill, and is not transferable, exchangeable, refundable nor redeemable for cash or any other use apart from being applied as a credit to your Megatel energy account.

3. If you end your supply contract for any reason before the end of your 12- month contracted supply term, an early termination fee of $150 (including GST) will apply.

• a) If you move to a different address where our services are not available before the contract end date, or if you cancel the supply contract for any reason before the contract end date, you will be charged a full early termination fee.

4. Once your electricity connection has been provisioned, your pricing will stay the same for your contracted supply term unless we adjust your pricing:

• a) due to changes to taxes (e.g., GST), levies (including the Electricity Authority Levy and/or Gas Industry Company Levy), the NZ Emissions Trading Scheme, or any other governmental or regulatory changes; or
• b) due to changes in third party costs, for example network company, transmission, and metering charges (which may apply to both the Daily Charge and the Variable Charge components of your electricity pricing); or
• c) if, for any reason, the information we have relied on to set your pricing is incorrect and/or requires amendment (e.g., if your metering set-up or capacity and/or your pricing category is incorrect or changes); or
• d) if capacity is changed by you or network company; or
• e) if you move to a different property.

5. Standard acceptance criteria apply. Our standard installation / reconnection fees and additional service charges (published on our website) also apply
