Residential promotions

Broadband Single Saver Promotion

1. This Broadband Single Saver promotion provides a $10 discount per month on our standard Broadband pricing for the first 12 months if you sign up for our Broadband only service on a 12-month contract.


2. This promotion is only available for existing residential customers of Megatel using a Fibre Broadband service.


3. To be eligible for this promotion you must meet the following Eligibility Criteria:

  • a) you must be an existing broadband customer of Megatel on an open term contract; and
  • b) you must re-sign your broadband service with Megatel on a 12-month fixed term contract.

4. Add-on service charges (such as a static IP address or Voip) are not included in the promotional broadband price and will be charged on a monthly basis if selected.

5. Pricing:

  • a) Your monthly broadband price will depend on your selected speed plan.
  • b) Your broadband service price will return to our standard price for your plan after the 12-month discount period has ended.

6. This promotion does not include a modem or Premium Wifi Modem 2pack. (but you can purchase a Premium Wifi Modem 2pack from us separately if you wish to do so). Premium Wifi Modem 2 pack average coverage is between 200 – 350 square meters, or a 2-4 bedroom house. Depending on the size of your house, you may need to purchase additional Modem units to ensure that the signal reaches every corner of your house. You can go to here to find more information. There is a one-off $15 delivery fee if we deliver a modem or Premium WiFi Modem 2 pack to you.

7. An early termination fee of $50 will apply if the broadband service is disconnected prior to the contract end date. If you move to a different address where our services are not available before the contract end date, you will be charged a full early termination fee.

8. Termination of services requires 30 days’ written notice in advance. You can provide this notice by emailing help@megatel.co.nz (but the $50 early termination fee will apply if you terminate either broadband or energy services prior to the end date of your 12-month fixed-term contract).

9. Standard acceptance criteria apply. Our standard installation / reconnection fees and additional service charges (published on our website) also apply.

This promotion is only valid from 17 October 2022 until 30 September 2023 and may be withdrawn or amended at Megatel’s discretion without notice.
