Broadband Single Saver Promotion – Selected Marketing Channel Only

This Broadband Single Saver promotion provides a $10 discount per month on our standard Broadband pricing for the first 12 months if you take up this Broadband only service on a 12-month contract.


Please note that:

  • - This promotion is only available for existing residential customers of Megatel using a Broadband service and who receive a special offer email via the selected marketing channel.
  • - You must sign-up via one of our sales representatives or via our call centre and provide the special offer email you received. This promotion will not be available online.
  • - This promotion is not available in conjunction with the Megatel MEGA Saver Promotion.

Eligibility

1. To be eligible for this promotion:

  • a) You must be an existing residential Megatel broadband customer, meaning that you must have an existing broadband account with Megatel on an open term.
  • b) You must meet our standard acceptance criteria and sign up for broadband on a 12- month fixed-term contract at your primary residential address.

Pricing and termination fees

2. Add-on service charges (such as a static IP address or Voip) are not included in the promotional broadband price and will be charged on a monthly basis if selected.

3. Pricing:

  • a) Your monthly broadband price will depend on your selected speed plan.
  • b) Your broadband service price will return to our standard price for your plan after the 12- month discount period has ended.
  • c) This Promotion cannot be transferred to a different property and will end if you move.
  • d) An early termination fee of $50 will apply if the broadband service is disconnected prior to the contract end date. If you move to a different address where our services are not available before the contract end date, you will be charged a full early termination fee.
  • e) Termination of services requires 30 days’ written notice in advance. You can provide this notice by emailing help@megatel.co.nz (but the $50 early termination fee will apply if you terminate broadband service prior to the end date of your 12-month fixed-term contract).

Broadband Supply Terms

4. This promotion does not include a modem. If you need a new modem, you may choose either:

5. If you choose to bring your own modem or router to access our broadband service, you agree that your equipment is your responsibility. We can’t help with configuration or guarantee or support performance of your equipment or compatibility with our network.

6. Additional charges may apply to new and/or non-standard broadband installations or other items such as additional work performed by an approved technician. We will let you know if charges apply.


VoIP Home Phone Supply Terms:

7. If you purchase our VoIP home phone service, please note:

  • a) Your calls will be delivered over your broadband connection using Voice over Internet Protocol. This means that if there is a power or broadband outage, you will be unable to make calls using our phone service, including Emergency 111 calls. We recommend:
    • (i) you maintain or have access to a mobile phone service and keep a charged mobile phone at your property in case you need to call 111 or other emergency call services during an outage; and
    • (ii) if you rely on a medical alarm, life-support or other critical-support or monitored service, and your existing third-party service provider cannot guarantee its compatibility with our broadband/phone services, you should not sign up for our services.
  • b) If you or someone in your household is particularly at risk of requiring the 111 emergency service (e.g., for reasons of health, safety or disability) and you don’t already have an alternative way to call 111 in the event of an outage (e.g., a mobile phone), you can apply to be listed as a Vulnerable Consumer. If you qualify, we will provide you with a means to call 111 in the event of a power failure, at no cost to you. Contact us or visit here for more information and to apply.

General

8. Standard acceptance criteria apply. Our standard installation / reconnection fees and additional service charges (published on our website) also apply.

This promotion is only valid until 31 December 2025 and may be withdrawn or amended at Megatel’s discretion without notice.
