Energy Bundle Promotion

This Energy Bundle Promotion provides you with a $200 joining credit on your energy account when you sign up for electricity and natural gas together on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

  • To be eligible for this promotion:
  • a) You must be a new MegaTEL energy customer, meaning that you must not have an existing account for any energy service with Megatel, and you must not have received any energy service from MegaTEL previously at your property.
  • b) You must meet our standard acceptance criteria and sign up for electricity and natural gas together on a 12-month fixed-term contract at your primary residential address.
  • c) Your electricity and natural gas services must be connected at your primary residential address within one month from the date you signed your application. Your primary residential address means the property where you actually live, which is not vacant, not under renovation/construction, and not an investment property or holiday home. If any of the services is not connected within one month (for any reason), then this promotion and any supply obligations will automatically cease (and any account credit will be reversed).
  • This promotion comes with a $200 account credit and a 12-month fixed term supply contract. The account credit will be applied to your energy account and will show on your first bill, and is not transferable, exchangeable, refundable nor redeemable for cash or any other use apart from being applied as a credit to your Megatel energy account.
  • An early termination fee of $200 will apply if either service (electricity or natural gas) is disconnected prior to the contract end date. If you move to a different address where our services are not available before the contract end date, or if you cancel the contract for either service for any reason before the contract end date, you will be charged a full early termination fee.
  • Once your electricity and natural gas connections have been provisioned, your pricing will stay the same for your contracted supply term unless we adjust your pricing:
  • a) due to changes to taxes (e.g., GST), levies (including the Electricity Authority Levy and/or Gas Industry Company Levy), the NZ Emissions Trading Scheme, or any other governmental or regulatory changes; or
  • b) due to changes in third party costs, for example network company, transmission, and metering charges (which may apply to both the Daily Charge and the Variable Charge components of your electricity pricing); or
  • c) if, for any reason, the information we have relied on to set your pricing is incorrect and/or requires amendment (e.g., if your metering set-up or capacity and/or your pricing category is incorrect or changes); or
  • d) if capacity is changed by you or network company; or
  • e) if you move to a different property.

This promotion is only valid from 14 March 2022 until 30 June 2023 and may be withdrawn or amended at Megatel’s discretion without notice.
